Founded in 2021 by Marie Faubert and Mauricio Perez Velero, Adorable Sailing was born from a shared passion for Bacalar lagoon and a deep respect for nature. From its beginnings as a family business, it stood out for offering exceptional customer service and unforgettable sailing experiences on the turquoise waters of the lagoon.
With his 32 years of experience in the Mexican Navy, Mauricio passed on his knowledge, discipline and love for sailing to the crew. For her part, Marie ensured that each excursion reflected elegance, human warmth and always five-star service.
In October 2025, a new stage begins: Daniela, Baldomero and their daughter Genesis proudly take over the management of Adorable Sailing. Already recognized in Bacalar thanks to their Genesis Sailing company, they bring solid experience, great hospitality skills and a sincere passion for the lagoon.
Committed to maintaining the same level of excellence that has made Adorable Sailing's reputation, they now add their personal, family and authentic touch. Today, Adorable Sailing is proud to have welcomed more than 5,000 happy travelers, and to write the next chapter of its story alongside a new passionate generation.
The founders, Mauricio and Marie, continue to be present to support this beautiful transition: Mauricio continues to sail occasionally as captain, while Marie happily takes care of French-speaking customers and accompanies some excursions.
